George Clooney leads an all star lineup for the third installment of the ocean’s trilogy, appropriately dubbed Oceans Thirteen. In the movie, Danny Ocean (Clooney) rounds up the boys for a third heist, after casino owner Willy Bank (Al Pacino) double-crosses one of the original eleven, Reuben Tishkoff (Elliott Gould). While some characters appear and operate in the same fashion as they have throughout the series, others like Linus Caldwell (Matt Damon) complete their character development by the end of the story. Thirteen follows the same style and humor of the previous two releases, including numerous on camera and off camera references to the cast. Some of these references include relationships to Al Pacino and actions against other characters in The Godfather, and Brad Pit’s character (Rusty Ryan) who at the end of the movie is joking with Clooney when he responds that Pit should settle down and have a few kids (referencing his current relationship with Angelina Jolie and their recent birth of a child). Overall, the movie revisited the atmosphere of eleven, which many viewers were looking for, and allowed for the cast and characters to show off their intended talents. If your going to go see a movie this weekend, make it Thirteen.
