So I’m a huge science fiction fan, in fact I can clearly blame my parents for it. I remember when I was little watching Patrick Stewart become a borg on Star Trek, and that was the original airing, not a re-run. Tuesday, Stargate SG1’s final season came out on DVD, and I decided I wanted to pick it up, as I find myself becoming a box-set fiend, picking up DVD seasons and box sets when possible. While I’ve seen the episodes before, it’s nice to sit down during a slow weekend and watch episode after episode while I program or clean.

Anyways, as I was picking up the dvd box set from Best Buy, there was a sticker on the plastic wrapping that indicated that the trailer for the upcoming direct-to-dvd movie “Stargate SG1: The Ark of Truth” was included. So like a anxious fanboy I opened up the set when I got home and started looking through the dvds for the special feature, but to my surprise it was no where to be found. Infact after doing some research on the internet I found that the trailer was infact a clipshow from the 9th and 10th seasons put together at the beginning of disc 1, and contained no actual footage from the movie.

After a short hiatus, I have finally returned to the side of reason and decency with the purchase of my brand new Apple MacBook. For those of you who aren’t aware, someone took the opportunity one night and broke into my old house, walking away with my old MacBook, a Playstation 3, and other random electronics.
