So If you stumble upon this blog you’ll notice there are quite a few gaps in time between posts.  While I make my honest effort to write an entry, I often find myself unable to complete the post or unable to determine a subject to write about.

My question to the public is what motivates you to continue writing?  What is your motivation behind topics?

Part of my job is managing our account with Sprint-Nextel, and last month I ran across a startling discovery that one of my users text messaged 5,996 messages.  That’s insane for any person to do, let alone on an i850 and not a device like the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition.  Needless to say, I ran some statistical analysis on that month’s text messaging, and that user accounted for 45% of the text messages used by my entire organization (If I had more detailed information, I would have attempted to calculate how many of those text messages went to other users inside the organization).

So after upgrading his text message plan (it wasn’t on unlimited) I began to wonder how you could text message so much in a single month.  I believe my highest text message total was less than 400.  So to try to determine this, I have begun training myself to text message more than call in preparation for the next billing cycle, where I will see what it takes to use 6,000 text messages.

Alas with 2008 now in the full one of my New Year’s Resolutions was to get this blog moving! I slowed down last august but it is now time to revive the movement. Today I began my Spring Semester at Western Michigan University, and at the completion of this semester I will have 5 remaining courses to take to complete my BBA.
